A LOT Has Happened

Getting back into blogging as the riding season gets into full throttle. A lot has happened since the last post (part of the reason for the delay of recording our adventures).

We opened a store! Last year we decided to give birth to our dream: opening a great, reliable, fun motorcycle apparel, accessory, gear, and parts store. Check! Freedom Thirteen Cycle is located inside the famous Truck World Mall in Hubbard, Ohio at exit 234 on I-80.

Now in our 11th month, we have been successful. We expanded our store a month ago. It was necessary to meet all the needs of our guests and customers.

We've been busy, but not with riding. Why? Our pull throttle cable broke last October on the last 70 degree day of the year. At least it happened in the driveway and not hours or miles away. (Note to others: if you have an older Mikuni HSR42 carburetor on a 1988 HD softail springer, don't order stock cables; call Barnett's immediately to save time, money, and stress by ordering a custom cable!)

Let's keep this short and sweet. More to talk about as time goes on. If you can, go get on your bad little scooters and RIDE!

Patriot Guard Mission

Yesterday I stood in honor if A1C Nicholas Nadeja, an Air Force soldier from Hubbard, Ohio. Patriot Guard Riders lined up to respect Nick's life and service, as well as to support his family and friends during their grief.

This morning, PGR members will ride in escort with Nick to the cemetery. Never take life for granted. - Bryon

First Riding Weekend of 2014

The winter weather broke under the pressure of a Spring sun, and left northern bikers a couple days of riding weather.

We rode. A little on Saturday, a little on Sunday, then had a hell of a time waking up this Monday morning! A little sleepy and foggy-brained, we are looking forward to more beautiful days ahead.

We stopped at Dunkin Donuts of course, then Wings Express Reloaded for wings.

A Better View

Here is the new motorcycle lift in its new home. You're thinking, what motorcycle lift? ;)

Hopefully We Won't Need This Often

The Silver Knight fulfilled a dream and bought a bike lift! A boy with a new toy, he was happy. He hauled it home on the flatbed Chevy. We used the huge cherry picker to lift it off and pull it into the garage. At over 300 pounds, we were prepared with the right tools and machinery.

We totally forgot to take pictures ofnit while dangling in the air. Ah, whatcha gonna do?

Longest. Winter. Ever.

This has to be the longest, coldest winter ever, made worse by having to look at the Harley everyday sitting all bored in the  garage. Can't fight the weather and 10,000 feet of snow!

Now when the weather breaks, we won't be riding like bandits! There is so much slag on the roads that a quick ride might turn into an ugly slide. But Spring is coming!!! Let's prepare to ride brothers and sisters. Be safe.

Illness and Good Weather

After a two week illness, the Silver Knight has rebounded! We are riding right now; I'm blogging from the bitch seat. Yes, all is as it once was. :)

Why is it that the weather is all you can dream it to be when sick and unable to ride? Oh well. As a collector plate we have says, the time to be happy is now.
